Natalie turner

Oklahoma City has always been home for Natalie Turner, and her parents played a pivotal role in shaping her passion for design. Summers spent on her father’s commercial job sites provided firsthand experience in construction, while weekends were dedicated to exploring home interior and antique shops with her mother. Rearranging furniture became a favorite pastime in their household, and the value of hard work was instilled through various home renovation projects. When faced with a challenge, her parents encouraged her to find solutions, fostering Natalie’s love for problem-solving.

Natalie attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Business Administration. During her time at UCO, she was an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers and completed a design internship that would lay the foundation for her career. After graduation, she landed her first design role, where she later met Taylor Malone as she completed her internship.

With a long-standing vision of creating a home interior shop alongside a design studio, Natalie’s dream came to life in 2016 when she and Taylor founded Dovetail Studio and The Mill Shop and Co-Op, now known as Millésime House. The blend of retail and design has allowed her to fully explore her creativity and define her personal style over the years.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys time with her husband Patrick, their daughter Izzy, and their lively household of four rescue cats—BB, Spooky, Cricket, and Boo—along with their mini Aussie, Louie. She and her family are DIY enthusiasts, always immersed in a home project. With over 15 years in the design industry, Natalie finds joy in creating spaces that reflect the unique personalities of her clients. For her, the highest compliment is when a client feels truly at home in a space that speaks to their life and style.

Taylor malone

Taylor Malone was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where her passion for design began at an early age. Growing up, she worked on home projects with her dad, explored antique shops with her grandmother, and spent weekends with her mother visiting open houses, sparking her interest in design and architecture. Even as a child, she saw the potential in old homes and loved reimagining spaces.

Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Central Oklahoma and was an active member of both the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She began her career by interning at a local design firm, where she met her future business partner, Natalie. Shortly after graduation, the two decided to combine their talents and vision to launch Dovetail Studio and Millésime House in 2016. Their shared dream of creating beautiful, functional spaces for their clients has continued to grow and thrive ever since.

Taylor finds great fulfillment in her work, especially when she hears clients express gratitude for transforming their house into a home. Moments of joy, like seeing a child’s face light up in a newly designed space, are the true highlights of her career. She believes in the power of design to make a difference in people's lives, and she’s dedicated to bringing that sense of joy and beauty to every project.

Outside of design, Taylor is supported by her loving husband, two daughters—Charlie and Ellis—and their sweet dog, Rue.

NATALIE’S PERSONAL PICKS

  • I have such love for color that it is easier to name the ones I like the least! Purple, orange, and yellow would be my least favorite colors in their primary forms.

  • Maximalism is definitely my personal design style – more is more! I’m drawn to bold, vibrant, and layered interiors that blend antiques with modern elements. While eclectic spaces speak to me, I appreciate all design styles!

  • I do not have just one favorite designer but rather appreciate many designers and draw most of my inspiration from European design, specifically England and France. I certainly look forward to the monthly issue of British Homes & Gardens for design influence!

  • I love to support local artists and have a gallery wall in our home that we add to every year! We have incorporated pieces by Sara Kay, Lauren Elaine, and Brad McNeill to name a few. But my most treasured pieces have been found at estate sales because there is an intriguing sense of mystery that comes with each piece!

TAYLOR’S PERSONAL PICKS

  • Green, in any shade! I also love warm, earthy tones and creating moody, inviting spaces.

  • I’m all about a collected yet minimalist aesthetic. I love mixing old and new with a classic touch to create spaces that feel timeless and personal.

  • Leanne Ford’s work really resonates with me. I admire how she combines simplicity and warmth in her designs.

  • I’m drawn to the work of Tyler Guinn and Erin Donahue Tice. Rebecca Atwood’s textiles are another favorite – her patterns and textures add such a beautiful layer to any space.
