Two Basic Colors That Make A Statement

As interior designers, we often get asked "What is your favorite color?"

Our typical response is "Black and White."

Black by itself is visually striking and makes a strong statement. It can be used to create a focal point or anchor a room. As said by Jan Showers, "Every room needs a touch of black, just as it needs at least one antique piece." We could not agree more!

Opposites attract. A black and white color palette, while elegant and timeless, is always in style. When you pair the two together, you easily achieve a sophisticated look.

There are so many amazing floor and wall finishes available in this color combo. If you are building a custom home or have taken on a renovation and are on a budget, you must check out the selection at Floor and Decor. There is finally a location in Oklahoma City, and we have had fun making selections that are budget friendly (see below)!

Who knew there were so many options when trying to select the perfect white or black paint. Sherwin Williams is our go to brand when selecting a color.

Below we have included our go to black and white paint colors that will work with any style.

If you are feeling more adventurous than paint, wall coverings are back in a big way! A powder bath is the perfect "no rules" space to incorporate pattern and texture!

Would you believe that all of these marble, yes MARBLE, mosaic tiles are under $25/ square foot. The hexagon , artemis, and buchanan mosaics would definitely make a statement!

Who recognizes this entry space??? This lovely home belongs to Brittany Hayes with Addison's Wonderland. The walls and trim are Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. This neither stark nor overly warm white is one of our go-to colors for a light and bright interior!

We have had a lot of requests for dark walls lately, and we are loving it! Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams is the perfect saturated black that looks stunning in high gloss on interior doors or in a

matte finish on cabinetry!

When we opened our doors in 2016, this wall covering was the first finish that we selected for our design studio and retail store. Since then, it has been one of our top sellers and is

available in a variety of color ways!

If you love a black and white color combo as much as we do, show us!
